Touch the Ground is a Private Family Foundation established by Ricky and Theda Vaughan in 2000 for the purpose of helping the needy and disadvantaged.

Touch the Ground’s vision is to touch each and every one, of the approximately 194 countries in our world. Our goal is to find and contribute to organizations and ministries who are working in the trenches day to day where the needy and disadvantaged live.

We currently support medical clinics, schools, orphanages, feeding programs and long term local and foreign missionaries.

We support the feeding of the poor in various areas throughout the United States. We have helped provide deployment kits to our soldiers on their way to Iraq, as well as, school backpacks for the local children. We support groups that go into Ukraine and Siberia to rescue children who live in sewer systems for warmth in the winter. These groups build orphanages to care for and educate the homeless children. Many groups that we support also start churches in these areas, so that they too, can meet the needs of their own community. Touch the Ground also sponsors children and homes that educate homeless boys in Mexico all the way through College.

Touch the Ground supports organizations like Bread and Fish that go into Columbia, South America into the mountains of Medellin every week to provide meals to children who only receive a few decent meals a week. We support medical clinics and medical outreaches throughout Central and South America.

The above are just examples of organizations that we currently support. Our giving currently spans 27 countries. We also support multiple entities within many of those countries.

  The main goal is to take our past and current successes and give into the world, making a significant impact into the lives of others. It is a vision that we take very seriously. It is our desire to see people of all cultures and races live in wholeness; spiritually, physically and emotionally.

We have decided to Touch the Ground, person by person, country by country, until the goal is reached.
